Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Savings: Seeing The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere

The Sphere has completely redefined entertainment in Las Vegas, and their latest immersive experience, The Wizard of Oz, is no exception. Between the 16K resolution wrap-around screen and the haptic seats, it truly feels like you’ve been swept away to Munchkinland.
However, a trip to the Emerald City can sometimes feel like it requires a pot of gold. Here is how you can experience this cinematic marvel while keeping your budget intact.
1. The Secret Promo Code
Before you click "buy" on the official site, check out this pro-tip we recently uncovered. If you are buying tickets to the Sphere, we found a way to knock a few dollars off the price. Every little bit helps, especially when you are taking the whole family!
Go to spotlight.vegas and use promo code VEGAS26 during your purchase.
2. Family and Group Savings
If you are traveling with a larger group (like a big family outing or a birthday celebration), you might be able to unlock deeper discounts.
Groups of 9+: For parties of nine or more, the Sphere offers dedicated group sales. You can reach out to groups@sphere.vegas to inquire about special rates that aren't available to the general public.
Hotel Bundles: If you haven't booked your stay yet, The Venetian Resort (which is directly connected to the Sphere) often offers "Stay & See" packages. These bundles can include up to four tickets to The Wizard of Oz and can sometimes be more cost-effective than booking your room and show tickets separately.
3. Choose Your Section Wisely
At the Sphere, "cheaper" doesn't necessarily mean "worse."
The 400 Level: These seats are usually the most budget-friendly (starting around $103–$130 depending on the day). Because the screen is so massive, being higher up actually gives you a better "bird's eye view" of the entire immersive environment.
Avoid the Overhang: If you do choose lower-level seats, make sure you aren't under the balcony overhang (usually the back rows of the 100 level), as it can partially obstruct your view of the top of the screen.
4. Nevada Locals Discounts
If you have a Nevada ID, keep a close eye on the official Sphere website or sign up for their newsletter. They occasionally offer "Locals Only" pricing for specific screenings. These tickets are often significantly discounted but usually require you to show your ID at the door.
5. Walk, Don't Rideshare
If you are staying at a nearby resort like The Venetian, Palazzo, or Wynn, don't bother with a taxi or Uber. The Sphere is connected to the Venetian Expo via a pedestrian bridge. Rideshare prices can skyrocket during show "drop-off" and "pick-up" times due to surge pricing, so walking will save you both time and money.
6. Eat Before You Go
Like any world-class venue, the concessions inside the Sphere are premium-priced. Since the experience lasts about 75 to 90 minutes, grab a meal at one of the many nearby food courts on the Strip or in The Venetian Grand Canal Shoppes before you head in.
Seeing The Wizard of Oz at the Sphere is a bucket-list experience that proves there really is "no place like home"... especially when "home" is a 360-degree immersive dome in the middle of Las Vegas
(BTW: Here is a wardrobe idea that captures the spirit of Oz and the Sphere’s spectacle: See shirt here.)
