LAS Discounts Insider Guide: 5 Ways to Save at The Venetian Resort in Las Vegas

Welcome back to the LAS Discounts blog series. For our next installment, we are exploring the stunning Italian architecture and incredible luxury of The Venetian Resort Las Vegas.

With its massive suites, endless shopping, and premium dining, The Venetian is undeniably one of the most upscale properties on the Strip. However, savvy travelers can still find fantastic value if they know where to look. Here are five major insider tips to help you stretch your budget during your stay.

1. Explore the Brand New Via Via Food Hall

You do not need to book an expensive fine dining reservation to enjoy incredible culinary experiences. The resort recently opened the Via Via Food Hall. This bustling marketplace features fast casual outposts of famous eateries like Howlin' Ray's, Scarr's Pizza, and All'Antico Vinaio. It is the absolute best way to taste world class food for a fraction of the cost of the traditional dining rooms.

2. Hack the Morning Coffee Lines

Time is money on vacation. Instead of wasting 45 minutes waiting in line at the standard casino Starbucks, explore the incredible alternative coffee spots hidden throughout the resort. The Venetian is practically a coffee mecca. You can grab a premium roast and a quick, affordable pastry at places like Bouchon Bakery, TRÀ Viet Coffee & Tea, or Dandelion Chocolate. This saves you a massive amount of time so you can get right back to the pools and casino.

3. Enjoy Free Entertainment at St. Mark's Square

You do not have to buy premium theater tickets to see incredibly talented performers. The Grand Canal Shoppes feature a daily "Streetmosphere" program located right in St. Mark's Square. You can watch classically trained opera singers, living statues, and musicians perform throughout the day for absolutely no cost. It is a fantastic, free way to soak in the Italian ambiance while taking a break from walking.

4. Split a Meal at Grand Lux Cafe

If you have a big appetite but want to control your dining budget, head to Grand Lux Cafe. Created by the founders of The Cheesecake Factory, this restaurant boasts a massive menu and extremely generous portion sizes. Splitting one of their hearty breakfast plates or massive lunch entrees is an incredibly smart way to get completely full for half the price of a standard Strip meal.   (Insider Tip: There are two Grand Lux Cafes at The Venetian -- one in the Palazzo tower and one in the Venetian Casino. The Palazzo location is usually less busy.)

5. Navigate the Parking Policies

Parking rules have changed across the Strip, and self-parking at The Venetian now ranges from $20 to $25 per day. However, there are still ways to save. If you are a Nevada resident, you can scan your local ID at the kiosk for three hours of complimentary self-parking. For out of town visitors, make sure to sign up for the Venetian Rewards program, because reaching Sapphire tier status automatically grants you free self-parking.

Stay tuned to LAS Discounts as we continue to uncover the best ways to save at your favorite Las Vegas resorts!
