The countdown to the 250th anniversary of the United States is officially on, and Las Vegas is doing what it does best: going bigger than anywhere else. The LVCVA has announced the #America250 Fireworks Celebration, a massive eight-week series of pyrotechnic displays that will transform the skyline every Saturday night through June and July.
Starting at 9 p.m. each Saturday, the desert sky will ignite with massive displays launched from the city's most iconic rooftops. To make the experience fully immersive, the shows are synchronized to a special soundtrack broadcast on KOMP 92.3 FM, 97.1 FM The Point, and 98.9 HANK FM. Even the Exosphere at Sphere Las Vegas is getting in on the action with special themed programming every Saturday night.
The Saturday Night Lineup
Here is where you can catch the sparks flying throughout the celebration:
June 6 & July 25: Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, and The Venetian Resort.
June 13 & July 11: MGM Grand, ARIA Resort & Casino, and Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino.
June 20: The Plaza Hotel & Casino, Binion’s Gambling Hall, and Fremont Street Experience (Downtown takeover).
June 27 & July 18: Resorts World Las Vegas, Fontainebleau Las Vegas, and The STRAT Hotel, Casino & Tower.
July 4: The Grand Finale! A massive, synchronized display launched from nine different Strip rooftops simultaneously.
LAS Discounts Insider Tips
1. Tune In for the Full Experience
The fireworks are stunning on their own, but they are designed to move with the music. Bring a portable radio or use a radio app on your phone to tune into 97.1 FM The Point or 92.3 FM. There is often a slight delay on digital streams, so a traditional FM signal is your best bet for perfect synchronization.
2. Watch from the "North Strip" Hub
For the shows on June 27 and July 18, the area near Resorts World and Fontainebleau offers a fantastic vantage point. These newer properties have elevated lounge areas and pedestrian-friendly sidewalks that give you a clear line of sight to the displays at The STRAT.
3. Don't Overlook Downtown
On June 20, the party moves to Fremont Street. While the Strip displays are high-altitude, the Downtown show feels much more "in your face." The rooftop of the Plaza Hotel provides one of the most classic firework views in the city.
4. The Sphere "Pre-Game"
Since the Exosphere will feature special America250 programming every Saturday, try to find a spot where you can see both the Sphere and the participating hotels. The Howard Hughes Center area or the top floors of nearby parking garages often provide a "dual view" of the Sphere’s visuals and the Strip’s fireworks.
Whether you are a local or visiting for the summer, these eight weeks of celebrations prove why Las Vegas is the ultimate destination for America's big birthday. For more ways to save on your summer stay, keep checking LAS Discounts for the latest deals on rooms and entertainment.
