Las Vegas is famous for its bright lights, glittering shows, and over-the-top attractions. But one of the most iconic (and free!) sights is the spectacular dancing fountain show at the Bellagio.
This stunning display of water, music, and light is a must-see for any visitor to Sin City. The shows run every 30 minutes in the afternoon and early evening, and every 15 minutes from 8 pm to midnight.
The soundtrack is always changing, with classics from Frank Sinatra and Celine Dion, to modern hits from Bruno Mars and Lady Gaga.
So, where can you get the best view of the Bellagio Fountains for free? Here are our top 5 spots:
1. Right in Front on Las Vegas Blvd
This is the classic spot and for good reason. From the sidewalk right in front of the Bellagio, you'll feel the rumble of the fountains as they shoot water high into the air. The music is loud and clear, and you can truly appreciate the scale and artistry of the show.
LAS Discounts Insider Tip: This spot can get crowded, so try to arrive 10-15 minutes before the show starts to snag a front-row spot.
2. Across the Street, near Paris Las Vegas
For a different perspective, head across the street near the Eiffel Tower at Paris Las Vegas. From this angle, you can see the entire fountain display and the Bellagio hotel in the background. It's a great spot for photos and videos, and it's less crowded than the sidewalk directly in front.
3. The "Terrazza" Perspective
Instead of standing on the Strip sidewalk, enter the Bellagio lobby and walk toward the Lago or Spago restaurants. There is a public outdoor balcony (Terrazza di Sogno) that offers a high-angle view of the lake looking toward the Paris Eiffel Tower. It's much less crowded and feels far more "VIP."
4. The Walkway Connecting Cosmopolitan and Bellagio
This elevated walkway offers a unique, birds-eye view of the fountains. You can see the water from above, as well as the Bellagio hotel and the surrounding Las Vegas skyline. It's a great spot to avoid the crowds on the sidewalk, and it's particularly magical at night.
5. While Dining or Having Drinks at a Nearby Restaurant
Several restaurants and bars on the Las Vegas Strip offer views of the Bellagio Fountains. While this isn't technically "free," you can enjoy a delicious meal or a refreshing cocktail while taking in the show. Check out restaurants at the Bellagio like Carbone Riviera, Prime Steakhouse, Le Cirque, or Yellowtail Japanese Restaurant. You can also get good views from the Eiffel Tower Restaurant at Paris Las Vegas.
6. From the Balcony of Your Room (if you're lucky!)
If you're staying at a hotel nearby, you might have a view of the Bellagio Fountains from your room. Ask for a fountain view room when you check in, or try to book a room with a balcony. While this option isn't free, it's a fantastic way to enjoy the show without leaving your hotel.
LAS Discounts Pro Tip: How to Catch Every Beat
One of the most common questions we get is, "How do I know which song is playing next?" While the general schedule is consistent, the musical lineup changes. Here is how to stay in the loop:
Check the Official Source: For the most up-to-date daily times and any weather-related cancellations (like high winds), visit the official Bellagio Fountains website.
The "Old School" Secret: If you are already at the resort, stop by the Bellagio Concierge desk. They often have a printed daily schedule that lists the specific songs playing at each time slot. It’s a great way to make sure you’re there for your favorite track, whether it’s "Viva Las Vegas" or "Time to Say Goodbye."
Timing is Everything:
Monday – Friday: Shows run every 30 minutes from 3:00 PM to 7:30 PM, then every 15 minutes from 8:00 PM to Midnight.
Weekends & Holidays: The magic starts earlier! Catch the show every 30 minutes starting at 12:00 PM (noon) until 7:30 PM, then every 15 minutes from 8:00 PM to Midnight.
