Dust off your membership card and get ready to browse the aisles because a wave of '90s nostalgia is hitting the valley. Back 2 The Video Store: A '90s Speakeasy Bar is officially opening its doors, transforming a corner of Las Vegas into a neon-soaked tribute to the golden age of VHS rentals.
This immersive pop-up experience invites guests to step back in time to an era before streaming algorithms, when Friday nights were spent scanning shelves for the latest blockbuster. The space is meticulously designed to mimic a classic video rental shop, complete with rows of movie cases that serve a secret purpose. Instead of taking a tape home, you’ll select a movie case from the shelf and bring it to the bar, where the staff will craft a custom cocktail or mocktail inspired by that specific film.
Beyond the unique drinks, the venue offers a rotating calendar of events to keep the '90s vibes going:
Sundays: Movie Trivia (7 p.m. to 10 p.m.)
Wednesdays: Bingo (7 p.m. to 10 p.m.)
Thursdays: Karaoke (8 p.m. to 10 p.m.)
Fridays & Saturdays: Live DJs starting at 7 p.m.
The pop-up is scheduled to run from March 25 through May 17 at PKWY Tavern (4930 W. Flamingo Road). Tickets start at $17.80, which includes 90 minutes of entry and your first drink.
LAS Discounts Pro Tip: If you are planning to attend on a Friday or Saturday night, be sure to book your reservation in advance. These time slots are expected to fill up quickly due to the live DJ sets, and walk-in availability will likely be limited during peak weekend hours.
