Free Club Nights This Week: How the Guestlist Gets You In for $0

A night out at a Las Vegas megaclub can start at $50 a person before you have even ordered a drink. Cover charges at places like Hakkasan, Marquee, and Zouk routinely run $30 to $75 for guys on a normal night — more when a big DJ is playing.

Here is what the clubs do not advertise on the Strip: the guestlist. Sign up free, show up early, walk in for free or a fraction of the cover. It is the single best nightlife deal in Las Vegas, and it works this week.

This Week's Free Nights

Wednesday, October 14:

  • Hakkasan (MGM Grand) — R&Bae Wednesdays with DJ Franzen, 10:30pm

  • Marquee Nightclub (Cosmopolitan) — Lincoln Jesser: Lowkey in the Library,10:30pm

Thursday, October 15:

  • Hakkasan — DJ Tay James, 10:30pm

  • Zouk (Resorts World) — Level Up, 10:30pm

Midweek nights like these are prime guestlist territory. The clubs want bodies on the floor Wednesday and Thursday, so the list is generous. Weekend nights with headliners are a different story — that is when covers spike and lists tighten.

How The Guestlist Works

1. Sign up free online. Promoter sites run guestlists for every major club, and signing up costs nothing — ever. If anyone tries to charge you to "join" a guestlist, walk away; the legit ones are free.

2. Do it the day of. Most lists close signups the morning of the event (often around 9am), so sign up Wednesday morning for Wednesday night.

3. Arrive early. This is the whole game. Guestlist entry typically works until the club hits capacity or a cutoff time — often around midnight to 1am, sometimes earlier. Show up at 10:30 or 11 and you stroll in. Show up at 1am and you are paying cover like everyone else, list or no list.

4. Dress the part. Clubs enforce dress codes at the door: no athletic wear, no shorts, no sandals for guys. A collared shirt and decent shoes solve 90% of door problems.

5. Bring ID. 21 and over, valid government ID, no exceptions.

THE MATH

Two people, two nights: say $50 cover each, each night. That is $200 in cover charges you did not pay. Your total nightlife spend for the week: $0 in entry.

Even if one night ends up "reduced" instead of free (it happens — more on that below), you are still saving triple digits.

The Caveats (Read These)

Free entry is not guaranteed entry. The guestlist gets you in free or at a reduced cover *subject to capacity*. If the club fills up, the list closes — early arrivals get in, late arrivals do not. This is why step 3 above is the whole game.

"Free" means entry, not drinks. A cocktail inside these clubs can run $20 to $28. The guestlist saves you the cover; pace yourself at the bar or pregame sensibly and the night stays cheap.

Special events change the deal. If a surprise headliner gets announced or it is a holiday weekend, the club can tighten or kill the guestlist. Midweek in October? You are in the sweet spot.

Bonus: Turning 21?

There is an official 21st-birthday program running through August 2027: the birthday guest plus four friends get complimentary entry to participating clubs — including Hakkasan, Marquee, Zouk, OMNIA, and TAO. Valid ID with your birthdate required, blackout dates apply. If your trip happens to line up with someone's 21st, that is five people walking in free.

The Bottom Line

The Vegas clubs are built to separate tourists from their money at the door. The guestlist is the locals' workaround, and it is sitting right there for anyone who signs up before breakfast and shows up before midnight.

Wednesday at Hakkasan or Marquee. Thursday at Hakkasan or Zouk. Zero dollars at the door. That is a Vegas night out done right.
