The 250th anniversary of the United States is almost here, and Las Vegas is throwing a massive party to celebrate! While the Fourth of July will feature breathtaking pyrotechnics launching from rooftops all over the Strip and downtown areas, the festivities do not end there. If your schedule keeps you away on Independence Day, you are in luck. The city has been lighting up the sky every Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. since early June, and the explosive fun continues right through July 25.
To help you find the perfect vantage point, we have put together your ultimate roadmap to this summer's events.
Where to Watch: The Saturday Night Strip Schedule
Finding the best pedestrian view completely depends on which weekend you are visiting. The launch locations rotate, so you will want to position yourself accordingly.
July 11: The southern and central Strip will be the place to be. MGM Grand, ARIA, and Planet Hollywood are hosting the shows, so look for a spot on the nearby plazas and pedestrian bridges.
July 18: The action moves to the north Strip. With fireworks blasting from Resorts World, Fontainebleau, and The STRAT, the sidewalks stretching between Resorts World and the Sahara offer the absolute best sightlines.
July 25: The summer series finale takes place mid-Strip. Caesars Palace, Treasure Island, and The Venetian Resort take over launch duties. We recommend securing a spot early on the broad sidewalks or bridges near the Flamingo, Caesars Palace, Bellagio, and Paris.
Enhance the Experience: Radio Sync and The Sphere
Do not just watch the show, listen to it! The weekend fireworks are beautifully synchronized to local radio broadcasts. You can tune your radio or phone to KOMP 92.3 FM, 97.1 FM The Point, or 98.9 HANK FM to hear the perfectly choreographed soundtrack. As an amazing bonus, the massive LED exterior of The Sphere will feature synchronized visuals to tie the whole production together.
Friday Nights in Downtown Las Vegas
If your Saturday nights are already booked, you can still catch a great show by heading downtown on a Friday. The Plaza Hotel and Casino keeps the summer energy high with their "Welcome to the Weekend" pyrotechnic displays, launching most Friday evenings at 9:10 p.m.
Fourth of July Weather Forecast
Planning to be outside for the big semiquincentennial bash on July 4? It is going to be a classic, sunny Vegas day. Expect clear skies with daytime temperatures peaking around 104 degrees. Once the sun goes down, it will cool off to a beautiful 81 degrees, creating ideal comfort levels to look up and enjoy the show.
